About Julia
Julia, the owner and operator of Julia Larrabee Designs, has been incorporating her concepts into clients’ homes and offices nationally and in the Atlanta Metro area since 1998.
A first-generation immigrant from Minsk, Belarus, Julia’s heritage is deeply tied to artistic talent, fashion, and design. In fact, Julia’s roots are seeded from a long line of extremely gifted and well-placed fashion designers, haberdashers, and seamstresses.
Living in both Austria and Italy before coming to the USA, Julia’s many experiences give her a unique appreciation of the sheer variety in modern design. She also has a deep admiration of all the different people she has met and their willingness to share their cultures with others. She has learned not only how diversity can enhance fashion and design, but how it can enrich people’s lives.
Immersing herself into each project, Julia uses all her developed talents, personal experiences, and artistic abilities to find the right solution for each and every client. She evaluates all the creative energies in the space, colors, furnishings, and accessories to capture a design theme appropriate for that specific individual or family. Where Julia may rely on subtle tone-on-tone hews for balance to frame a living space, she’ll throw in punches of color reflective of the client’s background and culture to enhance a space’s energy. She is able to translate the best qualities of each client’s character, and by using modern themes and methods, makes their spaces inviting and livable. Her environments generate their own style, symbolizing a world view fit for the twenty-first century.
